Bayfield Apple Festival
42 South Broad Street - Bayfield, WI 54814
Celebrate 63 years of Bayfield’s iconic Apple Festival, held annually on the first weekend in October. This three-day event is the perfect time to enjoy Wisconsin’s vibrant fall colors and take home fresh apples from one of Bayfield’s seven orchards. Visitors can pick their own or purchase pre-picked bags to savor the flavors of the season.
The festival is packed with special events, including the coronation of the Apple Festival Queen, chosen from Bayfield’s Orchard families, an exciting apple peeling contest, and the always-popular Grand Parade on Sunday afternoon. Live music fills the air throughout the weekend, featuring Big Top Chautauqua's Blue Canvas Orchestra at the Grandstand Stage and local artists performing at Memorial Park in downtown Bayfield.
Located on the shores of Lake Superior, Bayfield has been recognized by the Chicago Tribune as the Best Little Town in the Midwest and by Smithsonian Magazine as one of America’s Best Small Towns. Apple Festival is also celebrated as one of the 10 Best Fall Harvest Festivals in the nation by USA TODAY and hailed as Wisconsin’s Best Festival by Wisconsin Trails Magazine.
Each year, over 50,000 visitors from across the Midwest come together to experience this cherished fall tradition.
