Henry Schuette is one of the most comprehensive parks in Manitowoc. With a community-built large fenced-in playground, restrooms, picnic area, grills, a section of the Ice Age Trail, acres of hiking, and a kayak launch, Henry Schuette Park is a great stop for almost everyone.

The upper area of the park has the large playground that accommodates kids from tots to teens and can be seen from Broadway St. The lower area of the park is the nature preserve area with many hiking and biking trails and a section of the historic Ice Age Trail along the Manitowoc River. Some sections of the trail are shady and tree-covered, while others get ample sun. When there is snow cover, visitors can snowshoe or cross-country ski the trails.
