Bluegill Bay Park is one of the area's most scenic parks offering 68-acres to enjoy activities on Lake Wausau, picnic, hike and more.

The North section (enter from Oriole Lane) features a boat landing, benches, picnic area, a well, an open shelter, flush toilets, walking trails, volleyball court (provide your own net), dumpster, and a paved path.

The South section: (enter from Cloverland Lane) 2 open shelters, large shelter (reservable with a capacity of 75, no electricity or lights), picnic area, well pump, flush toilets, volleyball court, hiking trails, horseshoe pits, dumpster, grills located throughout, recycling center, fishing pier, limited parking, and play equipment.

Bluegill Bay Park offers one of the better locations in Wausau to go birding year round. Early morning is best. Prime viewing is in the spring and fall. Property's bird list boasts 200 recorded species.
