Planes, Trains, Automobiles & More

Getting to Wisconsin is easy, especially since there are many transportation options available.

By plane is one way. Fly into our major airport, the Mitchell International Airport, situated near downtown Milwaukee. If you’re traveling to the Driftless Region, fly into the Dane County Regional Airport in Madison. These are just a few of the airports found in Wisconsin.

Are you coming from Chicago? Hop on the Hiawatha Amtrak service, which offers round trips to and from Milwaukee. If you need transportation to other cities, ride the Amtrak Thruway bus service, which runs between Green Bay and Milwaukee with several stops, including Appleton and Oshkosh.

A ferry is another way to get to and from Wisconsin. Hop on the Lake Express, an over two-hour trip across Lake Michigan from Muskegon, Michigan to Milwaukee. If you need to get to and from Iowa, enjoy a ride on The Pride of Cassville Car Ferry, which traverses the mighty Mississippi River to Cassville, Wisconsin several times a day.

And don't forget about our highways, including major interstates, like Interstate Highway 90, which takes motorists from Chicago to Madison and other parts of the state.

However you get to Wisconsin, a memorable experience with the family is in store.
