Built in 1880. 108' high. Believed to be one of the oldest and tallest lighthouses still operating on the Great Lakes. We use a variety of methods to teach about the Lighthouse: Tower Climbs provide visitors with the opportunity to climb the 11 stories to the top of the Wind Point Lighthouse. The restored Fog Horn Building where a Museum is maintained that tells stories of Racine & Great Lakes maritime history plus a gift shop. The restored Fuel House tells the story of the historic role it played in supporting the Lighthouse. The Tower Climbs are open for tours the first Sun of the month June-Oct.
