This 682-acre pristine wetland on the northwest side of Lake Mendota features natural springs and seeps that flow into Pheasant Branch Creek at a rate of 1,800 gallons of water per minute. The oak savannas, prairies, and wetlands are home to an abundance of vegetation and wildlife species, including the endangered Blandings turtle.
