Markesan celebrates families with their June Dairy Days event. Activities include:  the area’s largest Parade; City sponsored Fireworks; Live Bands; Carnival Rides; Live DJ, Pork Roast Dinner; All-You-Can-Eat Breakfast; Fun Run; Peddle-Tractor Pull; Tractor/Truck Pulls; Awards Banquet; Pie & Ice Cream Social; Chamber Cheese Chase; Lion’s Famous Chicken BBQ Dinner; balloon artist and more.  New this year is the Markesan Chamber's craft and vendor area and Saturday morning Farmer's Market.
