Join us for a day filled with vibrant colors, lively music, traditional elements, and exciting activities as we celebrate Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) at the Oshkosh Public Museum! On the grounds of the Museum, visitors can share in this traditional celebration by viewing the community altar, making crafts, and watching performances by Ballet Folklórico Xanharati dancers and mariachi. Plus, enjoy two free showings of Disney Pixar’s “Coco.” This family movie will be shown at the Time Community Theater. See the English-language showing on Friday, November 1 at 7 PM. See the Spanish-language matinee at 2 PM on Saturday, November 2. All events are free and open to the public!

Día de los Muertos is a celebratory event honoring lost loved ones and their lives. It includes building ofrendas (altars) with marigolds, candles, skulls, favorite foods, and personal effects of the departed. These ofrendas bring people together to remember the joy, humor, and impact their loved ones brought to the world.
