For hundreds of years, the country of Luxembourg has been celebrating the tradition of Buergbrennen. Villages gather together to burn away winter and welcome in spring. Belgium, Wisconsin is proud of its Luxembourgish roots and continued connections to the country of Luxembourg, and is thrilled to be bringing this European custom to the United States.

We will be celebrating Buergbrennen at Buechler Farms in Belgium on Saturday, March 1st from 4 pm-8 pm. FREE admission. Live music, kids activities are included! In addition to vendor shopping, food, beverages and light-up toys will be available for purchase.

Doors open at 4 pm, at  6 pm join us for a procession from the barn to the burn site, where our community's most recently married couple will do us the honor of lighting the blaze.
