On November 20, 1914, James Jordan, 22 years old, shot a massive 10-point whitetail near his hometown of Danbury in Burnett County, Wisconsin. Eventually, Boone and Crockett Club recognized the buck as the world record. According to the club's scoring system, its antlers measured 206-1/8”. As of now, this record still stands. The famous buck will be commemorated on September 28, 2024, at the Third Annual Jordan Buck Day! A parade will be followed by a town and area celebration, including food trucks, booths, and entertainment. See the event website or Facebook for the full event schedule.
