Performing the music that pioneered the landscape of country, rock, and blues music, Grammy Award winner Steve Earle returns to Big Top Chautauqua on The Alone Again Tour. A worthy heir to his musical mentors Townes Van Zandt and Guy Clark, over the course of twenty-two studio albums Earle has distinguished himself as a master storyteller and is regarded as one of the most acclaimed singer-songwriters of his generation. His songs have been recorded by a vast array of artists, including Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Joan Baez, Emmylou Harris, The Pretenders, and countless others.

His debut album Guitar Town, released in 1986, shot to number one of the country charts and is now regarded as a classic of the Americana genre. Subsequent releases included Grammy Award winning albums The Revolution Starts...Now (2004), Washington Square Serenade (2007), and TOWNES (2009). In 2020, Earle released Ghosts of West Virginia which Rolling Stone named as one of “The 50 Best Albums of 2020 So Far” and later that year he was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. His latest studio album Jerry Jeff released in May 2022, is a 10-track collection comprised of hit tracks and deep-cuts from Jerry Jeff Walker to pay tribute to the colorful cowboy troubadour who passed away in October 2021.
