A hilarious audience participation party! Dress up if you're feeling rad!  The Awesome 80’s Prom is a blast-from-the-past party in the style of improvised comedic plays like Tony and Tina’s Wedding set at a local high school senior prom…in the year 1989.  Originally performed on the OAC stage during our 2010-2011 season, all of the characters you remember from your favorite ‘80’s movies are at This Prom, from the Captain of the Football Team and the Asian Exchange Student, to the Geek and the Head Cheerleader—and they are all competing for Prom King and Queen!  And just like on American Idol or Dancing with the Stars—the audience decides who wins in a vote that will change the ending of the play with every performance!  Come “Back in Time” (to quote Huey Lewis!) with the OHS Players as they moon-walk their way through retro 80’s hits played by a live-on-stage band—and if you’re lucky—you might even get to dance with one of our talented cast members!  Come on—you know you have a Members Only jacket laying around somewhere—don’t miss the show that has been featured on NBC’s “Today Show,” CBS’s “The Early Show,” and in both The New York Times and The New York Daily News.  The Awesome 80’s Prom—this time you don’thave a curfew!
