On Sunday, April 21st, Marsh Haven Nature Center will celebrate Earth Day all day long with a variety of activities and programs happening throughout the day. Come for one or stay for the day!

We'll start the day off with a guided bird hike at 7 am, where we'll head out on the Marsh Haven trails to see which feathered friends are present. No RSVP is necessary, and the hike is free of charge. We will have binoculars available for those who do not have them. Be sure to bring sunscreen, comfortable hiking shoes, and dress for the weather.

At 11 am we will have a Wild Birds of Prey program where you can learn all about WI native birds of prey with live animal ambassadors. Then stick around to learn all about wolves at 12:30 pm by guest speakers Jerry Sanders and Debbie Hinchcliffe. The final program of the day will be at 2:00 pm where you can learn about reptiles at our Creepy, Crawly, and Cool program. No RSVP is necessary, but programs will have limited capacity. Pay the museum admission fee once and have access to all programs for the day! Adults 15 and over will be $5, students 6-14 years old will be $3, and Marsh Haven members and children 5 and under are free of charge. Looking for something to get your hands dirty? We'll have seed bomb-making from 12 pm until 2 pm where you can dig in the dirt and take home a milkweed seed ball to plant in your yard to help our endangered monarch butterfly friends. You'll also have the opportunity to make a bird feeder out of toilet paper rolls, peanut butter, and seed to take home for the feathered friends in your backyard.

Finally, we'll wrap up the day with a bird hike at 5 pm on the Marsh Haven Trails. No RSVP is necessary and the hike is free of charge. Whether you come for one or come for all, we hope you will join us for this wonderful celebration of Mother Earth!
