44th annual Oval & drag racing snowmobiles on open water. Rated as one of the ten best races in the country by Sno-Goer Magazine. Fireworks, two bands, food & beverage booths, & other activities. Displayers & vendors make their products & services available to the thousands that attend. The racing portion of Watercross includes drag and oval racing over water including vintage snowmobiles. The races are sanctioned by the International Watercross Association (IWA), the professional racing group. The Grantsburg Watercross is the "World Championship" race within the IWA racing circuit, and this race is known as the "Granddaddy of Them All" by top racers from the US and Canada. Over $20,000 in cash and trophies. Camping for tent, camper or motorhome is available.
