The Hotel de Ville is a landmark in  Alma with some of the finest rooms and Suites in all of WesternWisconsin.  It is comprised of six buildings, the oldest of which was the oldest building in Alma.built before 1867 (our Gypsy Wagon Curiosity Shop) and the Hotel de Ville Grand is on the National Historic Register as it was built in 1861 at the then terminus of the paddleboat run down the Mississippi.  It features 7 historic hotel rooms with well over 1,500 pieces of crystal on the chandeliers.  It is also home to the Art Deco styled Empire Room restaurant which should not be missed. Other Suites of the hotel offer full apartments with two or three bedrooms.  Our Falcon Cottage sleeps seven with it's more rustic setting and private patio.  Virtually all of the rooms offer river views, private baths, king of queen beds and garden views as well. All have Air Conditioning.

The hotel has the Secret Garden, with three fountains and large bronze statues in its formal and Italianate garden, our Empire Room patio has over 200 varieties of hosta across the street from out Promenade Garden with over 100 varieties of Daylily with its wrought iron gazebo where you can watch the Mississippi River and the trains go by.

Our Alfresco Pizzeria is in yet another building of the hotel with a full bar and fresh ingredients in our salads, pizza and pasta.  Our "lobby"is our Fire &Ice, ice cream and coffee shop with treats from our own Alma Bakery located down Main Street. It is located next to our art gallery and gift shop, Art and Soul.

If you feel that you can not afford our rooms, which start at $70.00, do visit the hotel and ask for a tour as thousands have done. No visit to Alma would be complete without a tour of the hotel and grounds.
