Risken-Lee Holiday House
Risken-Lee Holiday House
The Risken-Lee Holiday House building dates back to 1842. It is now a great example of early frontier lodging, with wide plank pine floors with braided rugs. Beautiful fireplaces, modern kitchen, elegant, classy bathrooms, simple woodwork and homemade doors and windows with original wavy glass all combine to create an environment of the past with the comforts of the present. From every window a view of the historic downtown lends charm and gives solace to the weary traveler looking for a noncommercial break in the drudgery of life. Sit in the cool breezeway and listen to the fountain in the courtyard below or wind chimes in the distant garden. Your stay will give you a feeling of peace and tranquility, in a safe and uncomplicated part of the world: southwest Wisconsin!
