Looking for an adventure that might inspire you to reach for the clouds? Put on your leather helmet and goggles: It’s time to fly back in time to the 1930s, the golden age of aviation, when barnstormers and record breakers changed the world of aviation and flew into the modern world! When you hear the roar of a hundred-year-old engine and feel the wind from the propeller, you start to understand the stories of the past in a whole new way.

With a world-class collection of vintage aircraft that still fly, this museum brings a forgotten era to life. Check out hands-on exhibits on aviation design and flight science, witness real biplanes in flight, hear the stories of daring airmail pilots who flew by map and compass alone, and see how a Great Depression kid built an airplane powered by an automobile engine.

The Kelch Aviation Museum is located at Brodhead Airport.
