McFee on Main
“Sometimes you get a feeling when you walk into a boutique—the owner just gets it. And McFee on Main is one of those places. A large, inviting porch beckons shoppers and passersby to stop in, the gorgeous 1893 building shines with a refurbished interior, and covetable home décor pieces, clothing and gifts are merchandised beautifully.
Owner Lynn McFee is former director and brand manager of CHAPS Home (a subsidiary of Ralph Lauren) and is used to building a look in-store with home goods and accessories. She opened the store in late September and it was destiny fulfilled: “I always said I wanted my own store since fifth grade,” she says. “And this space had beautiful bones—I knew we could make something happen.”
The two-story shop has original wood floors that are juxtaposed against gray walls and white crown molding. Areas are broken out in mini vignettes: home decor, kitchen items, baby gifts and an entire room filled with five lines of affordable, fashionable clothing. She also carries the works of two local artists that add pops of lively color throughout the boutique.”
