Perched atop the highest point in southern Wisconsin at 1,719 feet of elevation, the park offers spectacular views along with unique geological features. The only Wisconsin state park with a swimming pool is equipped with a lift for persons with disabilities. Cross-country ski trail in season with warming house available. Pets are welcome in Wisconsin State Parks but must be on a leash and under control at all times. Certain areas may be off-limits to pets. Visit our website for more details. The 15.5 miles of challenging off-road, singletrack bicycle trails will bring even more elevation challenges to the park's trail mix. The difficulty ratings shown on the map are geared towards novice riders. More experienced single-track riders may feel the trails are less challenging than the color-coding implies. All in all, you'll have 500 feet of elevation to play with if you ride the trails and climb the paved road to the top. Not a mountain, but not bad for the Midwest. A steep connector trail accesses the Military Ridge State Trail where riders can roll on a near-level railroad grade.
