Located across the road from Ottawa Lake Campground, this 1 1/2 mile nature trail (No dogs allowed) leads the hiker not only to discover wildlife, fish and clear clean springs but it is also the location of the remains of a marl plant, hotel, trout pond, sawmill and cranberry bogs that once existed there. A nature trail guide that will help you locate these past treasures is available online as well as at the parking lot. Notice the "boiling sand" at the bottom of the clear creeks and ponds. Mosquitoes can be a nuisance on this trail in the summer, be prepared and wear appropriate clothing and/or insect repellent. A state park sticker for your vehicle is required when parking in this lot. They may be purchased at the Ottawa Lake contact station during the summer or online.
