Forest County ATV Trails
The 8-mile trail is located 2.4 miles South of Highway 8 off of Perry Road in Crandon, Wisconsin. The two-way, looping trail is located on old logging roads in the Forest County Forest. This trail system is also open to motorcycles, hikers, bikers, hunters, and other uses. There is a gravel parking area at the entrance to the trail head.
Forest County Forestry and Recreation Department maintains the Wolf River State Trail from Crandon South to Langlade County by County Road DD, the Nicolet State Trail that runs North from Wabeno to Popple River about 32 miles and the Valley Trail that runs along Highway 8 West from Crandon to Mays bar approximately 6.9 miles. Please be aware that many towns in Forest County have opened their town roads for ATV/UTV usage as well. If it is an ATU/UTV route on the town roads, it will have a green and white “ATV Route” sign.
If you have any question regarding the trails, please call the Forest County Forestry and Recreation Department or visit our website for more information at https://forestcountywi.com. Please respect the trails by staying on approved trails and routes, use caution and appropriate speeds when on the trails or in towns. Enjoy!
